While initially trained in traditional art practices, her work has gradually evolved toward experimental processes involving thread and rope, with a strong focus on knitting and stitching. Rooted in personal memory and Assamese cultural heritage, her practice draws significant inspiration from her mother’s knitting traditions, through which she intertwines personal narratives, cultural identity, and material exploration.
Geetanjali is a recipient of the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation Award. Her work has been presented in several notable residencies and exhibitions, including residencies at Hampi Art Lab and Space Studio Baroda.
Selected group exhibitions include Exhibit 320 and Art Centrix Space, Delhi (2025); Tao Art Gallery, Mumbai (2025); Po10tial, Mumbai (2025); the Jute Group Exhibition at the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy, New Delhi (2024); the Annual Art Exhibition at Sir J.J.
