Neelima Nath, a distinguished Malayalee artist, currently channels her artistic prowess in the vibrant city of Baroda. Her journey in the realm of visual arts began with a dedicated pursuit of knowledge, culminating in both a bachelor's and master's degree in Creative Painting. Her works have found a place of prominence in numerous well known exhibitions, solidifying her status as a noteworthy contemporary artist. Some of these exhibitions are 'The Maps of Our Skin' and 'Contextual Cosmologies' both integral components of the prestigious Keraleeyam 2023 and 'Lokame Tharavadu - The World Is One Family' exhibition in 2021. In recognition of her exceptional talent, Neelima Nath was honored with the Abir First Take Award in 2018. The following year, she received the Nasreen Mohamedi Award in 2019, further affirming her impact on the contemporary art scene. Her interest is rooted in creating stories by layering figurative and narrative elements. Her work contains figures with context around them, and they also include objects that may have some relation to the context, not necessarily to the time, and vice versa.
