University, Vadodara, in 2007.
Baliga gained international acclaim with his first solo exhibition in the UK, "Mahesh Baliga: Drawn to Remember," showcased by David Zwirner’s The Upper Room in London in 2022. His work has been included in several prestigious group exhibitions, such as "Lokame Tharavadu" at the Kochi Biennale Foundation in Kerala (2021), "estray" at Baekgong Museum in South Korea (2017), and "Len Den" at Mumbai Art Room (2015). Since 2009, he has held six solo exhibitions at Project 88 in Mumbai, including "A Butterfly in Amazon" in 2023 and "As I Remember" in 2021.
His artworks are part of renowned collections, including the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art in Delhi and the Clarinda Carnegie Art Museum in Iowa. Baliga has also taught at various institutions, such as the Surat School of Fine Arts and Navrachana University in Vadodara.
