??Born in Lucerne, Mimi von Moos lives and works in Basel and Rotterdam. She earned a Master's in Fine Arts from the Basel School of Art and Design in 2012. Her work has been exhibited in Switzerland, Germany, France, Holland, and the USA. Her first art book, "die Verwandte" (Edition Patrick Frey), was recognized as one of the most beautiful Swiss books by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture (BAK) in 2019. Since 2016, she has been dedicated to converting the old synagogue in Hegenheim (F) into an art space, founding the association' le ventre' for this purpose in 2020. In 2022, she initiated 'artstravers,' a recurring art event in the tri-county region near Basel. Von Moos applies methods of artistic research and conceptual art to explore aesthetics, creating expansive installations and public space interventions. Her commitment to fostering new cooperative and creative spaces is a cornerstone of her career. She began her creative journey in jewelry design, graduating from the Cologne Fachhochschule in 1993 under Prof. Peter Skubic.
