Born(1996) in the remote village of Thavidisseri in Payyanur, Druvaraj experienced firsthand the socio-political upheavals that swept through Kerala, leaving no corner untouched. His formative years were shaped by the changing landscape, with much of his early education taking place in a boarding school away from his homeland. The concept of time, space, and place is intricately woven into Druvaraj's work. His experiences, particularly during his later studies, influenced his artistic focus on landscapes. These landscapes often serve as a backdrop for contrasting new urbanism, a theme not explicitly depicted but subtly present as a pertinent negative aspect in his works. Completed his BFA in Painting from Govt. College of Fine Arts, Thrissur, and his MFA in Painting from College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram. He was awarded the Vijayaraghavan Endowment Gold Medal at the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi State Exhibition 2019 and participated in the International Kala Mela by National Lalit Kala Akademi. Additionally, he has been part of the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi State Exhibition in 2015, 2016, 2019, and 2023.
